Facebook, the world's largest social media website, announced this year that it will introduce a new digital currency called "Libra". The company is in deep trouble after the announcement of its introduction.

According to a foreign news agency, Facebook's new currency is facing global opposition as well as US President Donald Trump's, according to experts, it looks weaker than global regulators and other digital currencies.

 

According to the news agency, worries over Facebook's new digital currency increased when several EU countries and global regulators expressed their concerns over the currency's impact on the global economy.

According to a foreign newspaper, 26 Central Bank officials from the US, UK and EU will meet with representatives of the "Libra" currency introduced in Basel. The founders of 'Libra' have also been invited to answer questions regarding the scope and design of digital currency.

On the other hand, Facebook did not respond to questions from the British news agency in this regard.

Remember that Facebook had previously stated in the project that after the introduction of digital currency, the company's customers will be able to make their payments through Facebook app or messaging platform 'WhatsApp'. However, the Facebook project was openly criticized by France and Germany, saying the project could be a threat to the sovereignty of EU countries.

Facebook claims to operate its digital currency freely. Payments in this currency will be as easy as sending someone a message. These payments can be made at a very low cost, but they will also deduct commissions from payments made through their platform.
